Meet Kirsten Bohnenberger

Kirsten Bohnenberger, MS, RD
A native of northern Virginia, Kirsten received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Virginia and worked closely with UVA’s Sports Nutrition Department. Kirsten went on to earn a Master’s of Science in Nutrition from Boston University. Throughout her time in Boston, she helped fuel the Boston Celtics to their 2022 NBA Finals and 2023 Eastern Conference Final appearances. Additionally, she counseled adolescents and adults at Cambridge Center for Eating Disorders, and explored eating disorder screening tools as a research assistant for Paula Quatromoni’s Nutritional Epidemiology Lab. She then completed her dietetic internship rotations at Winchester Hospital and Sargent Choice Nutrition Center working with individuals at the inpatient and outpatient levels of care, as well as at Florida State University working with collegiate athletes. Her hobbies include hiking and being outdoors, learning Italian, and anything involving a cup of coffee.

Kirsten is available to see adolescent and adult clients with one or more of the following concerns:
- Sports nutrition for recreational, amateur, high school, collegiate, or professional athletes
- Medical nutrition therapy for disordered eating or eating disorders
- Nutrition guidance for general health and wellness.
